Expected Price Rs 1.89 lakh
Jawa Perak Overview
The bookings of the Jawa Perak have been pushed by September 2019 owing to heavy demand of the other two bikes, like the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two. At currently, the company is working on meet of the demand of the two bikes and will then follow up with the Perak. Expect deliveries of the Perak to commence from early 2020. The bike’s cost is may be expected to go up from the announced price of Rs 1.89 lakh due to factors like inflation, emission compliance and the likes.
Jawa Perak Highlights
The Jawa Perak uses the same engine as the other two bikes from Jawa but it has a slightly bigger bore. In this has aided in increasing the displacement to 332 cc and the power and torque output are slightly higher too at 30 bhp and 31 Nm, compared to the 27 bhp and 28 Nm torque developed by the 293 cc single-cylinder engine. New Jawa Perak will come with a additional features and equipment, compared to the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. For starters, unlike the other two relatives, the Perak will be longer and come with a dual channel ABS.
Also the bike launching with the classic styling dressed in a lovely shade of Matt Grey with gold highlights on the tank and side panel. The Bike also comes with a Bobber-style single seat in tan leather, while the rear monoshock occupied underneath it. The whole bike receives black treatment with the engine, spoked wheels and other black – painted panels. Interestingly enough, Jawa Motorcycles has already announced the price of the Jawa Perak, which will be introduced at Rs.1.89 lakh.
Jawa Motorcycles company has made his comeback in India with the launching of three new motorcycles. While two of them are available for booking, the third one hasn’t been launched just yet. It is a factory custom bobber called the Perak and is priced at Rs 1.89 lakh. Because the high demands of the Jawa and the Forty Two, the production as well as the bookings for the Perak have been delayed.
The Perak bike relive an all-black paint scheme and a redesigned rear end, a single tan seat, low-set handlebars with bar-end mirrors and round tail light that’s nicely placed under the seat. Powering the motorcycle is a bigger 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill that produces 30PS and 31Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission. It even gets a custom decrease.
The Jawa Perak bike uses the same double crib frame and familiar telescopic forks as the Jawa and 42. However, it gets a ‘swing cage’ swingarm to pamper the monoshock at the rear. Also, unlike its siblings, the Perak uses disk brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS and slightly fatter Pirelli tyres.
The Perak company is a historic brand for Jawa, and the name has been definations for a factory custom bobber. It was exhibit at the India launch of Jawa, and has a few key differences from the rest of the range.
Jawa Perak has a larger 334cc engine – it’s still a liquid-cooled single, but the extra displacement gives it slightly higher power and torque figures, at 30bhp and 31Nm. It has also a six-speed gearbox. It has a rear monoshock, which is hidden under the floating single seat to mimic a hardtail design. It also has divide fenders and stubby exhaust mufflers. An interesting addition to the Perak is the rear disc brake – it’s the only one of the newly-launched range to get one, and it has an ABS counter as well, which makes it likely that the Perak will offer dual-channel ABS – a requirement in certain markets globally, where the Perak will be sold as well.
The Perak on display at the launch had a matte paintjob and all the chrome was blacked out, which effect the ‘custom bike’ look, but more paint plan should be available by the time of it’s launched.
The price for the Jawa Perak was set at Rs 1.89 lakh, ex – showroom, with its custom elements pitting it squarely against the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X, and the Royal Enfield Classic 500 with its similar single – seater looks.
